Solely Responsible is a group of peer educators that uses interactive theatre games to create open discussion about issues that teens face. We hope that by having youth-run presentations, we can provide a non-threatening atmosphere where young people are encouraged to interact and engage in thoughtful dialogue. We’re able to present issues in a humorous, real-life manner that also provokes thought, discussion, and active participation in developing solutions.

If you would like more information, or if you want Solely Responsible to present at your school, please contact Katie Dolph at kdolph@linfield.edu or call 503-434-7378, ext. 3.

“Safe Dates” is a research based curriculum by the Hazelden Foundation that has shown to have strong, long-term outcomes. The curriculum is a nine-session program that deals with attitudes and behaviors associated with dating abuse and violence. Each session can be completed in about an hour. The curriculum has interactive games and activities and I also provide prizes and snacks for the youth to make it more enjoyable. “Safe Dates” can be used for both middle and high school students, both male and female. The class size should be around six to twelve students. I have been teaching "Safe Dates" at Duniway Middle School on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00-4:45PM and at Patton Middle School on Mondays at 3:10 to 4:20PM.

If you would like more information,or want "Safe Dates" to be taught at your school, please contact Linda Silvestre at (503)434-7378 ext.5 or email me at silvestrel@co.yamhill.or.us.
